CD Album Desiiiiign

This strays from my typical portfolio work but I do a lot of graphic design work and just thought I'd post something. This is an album layout for Detroits' DJ Edison, rockin' clubs throughout the midwest! Enjoy

Pull-String

So this is a sneak peak of a children's book in the works! This puppy is copyrighted original homecookin' boys and girls! As one friend asked, "does his contraption provide insulation against the freezing temperature of space and searing gamma rays, pressurization so he doesn't lose his eyeballs like Arnold in Total Recall, and an oxygen supply?"...................oooof course not!...We're long overdue for an MA children's book right? First post of 09 and I made it before January expired!

Saving Thundera

Here's Lion-o ready to tear Mummra a new one. If you're wondering what he's standing on, it's the giant cat head of the Cat's Lair....C'mon DUH! For a truly awesome take on the cats, everyone should check out the Ed McGuinness comic run from a few years back! rock on

Jimmy Eat Worm

Why is it that underwater levels in games are always so HARD? I remember there was such a level in the SNES 90's classic video game Earthworm Jim. I remember this because it was so flippin' impossible that I never saw the rest of the game! You had to steer this little bubble through a 2-D coral maze and every time you hit a wall, which you would, your bubble would burst... yet be meticulously cautious and you'd run out of air. I found out years later that there was a secret location for more air....awesome and thank you lazy level designers for ruining my childhood! Anyhow, here's Jimmy taking a dip.

btw This was done as part of a bi-monthly draw-off w/ some of my artist homeboys and homegirls.Visit to see more fantabulous EWJ (that's fanboy lingo) art!

"McFly you Bozo!....Those boards don't work on water!"

So I went Back to the Drawing Board and this is the result of my latest creative delineation. As of late I'm tackling the challenge that comes with drawing characters from more interesting perspectives. That is, slightly more dynamic non-head on angles. I also forced myself to both draw and color this while driving above 88 mph, a challenge equally great. Y'know, my dad once told me how his grade-school teachers used to fortell flying cars being on the scene by the 2000's! At this point, I'll leave the flying cars to the future and be perfectly satisfied w/me very own hoverboard....even a pink one like Marty's. Thanks for droppin by and remember to stick to dry land unless ..."you got power!"

A Real Paraguayan Hero

So a friend of mine believes that Archangel is the superhero to end all superheros! He has even slandered the greatness that is spiderman whilst carrying the torch for this hanggliding hero. Alas, here be a pre pubescent version of my friend, waking to the miracle of mutant augmentation. Boy, puberty would have been alot less awkward if we all began developing a superpower wouldn't it? I'm sure I could have handled the let-down of being completely unable to grow a full beard much better had I been able to teleport or crush cars or something. Heck I'd even settle for that power from X2 where the kid could change tv channels by blinking. Oh well

My Cheap Presents

Heya,

My bro and sis spend almost as much time on their imac laptops as I do on my desktop so for their Bday I made them personal portraits of themselves on their laptops for their laptop wallpapers. Obscure and esoteric gift you say?, you bet, but the artist always "arts" for the holidays so they'd best appreciate! Besides it sure beats spending actual money on people's birthdays. I particularly liked the way my sisters came out, looking at it now it reminds me a bit of Frank Cho's Brandy artwork (liberty meadows) Since I won't be posting pics of my siblings here you'll have to take me on my word when I say these are the most amazing and accurate caricatures ever done! But despite popular demand, the pastel Barbie look above is not the direction I plan on taking my blog...(that is unless I land that long desired gig at LisaFrank!)

Buncha Phonies

So it's been a long time since I posted...to all those who would be fans if I posted on a near reg basis I do apologize. Anyhow, I just read Catcher in the Rye again and that book still goes by faster than most movies. In honor of J.D.'s accomplishment, I tried my own hand at the timeless anti-hero, Holden Caulfield. I've not seen him depicted visually before so it was great to start with a fresh palette. If you've read the book, you'll understand the artwork, if not, look away so as not to tarnish your own imagination before you read through a copy. I now realize this picture looks an awful lot like David the Knome smoking a pipe at a glance. But that's equally awesome.

Animation!

Hey folks,

Just a bit of animation I don't yet cringe at from my Ringling college days! This was my demo reel back in 2005/2006! Dig-it!

Gansta Wrap!

Hey Fellow artists and artees,

Just wrapped up this piece for a draw off with artist and animator pal Jim Christopher (check his blog: http://jchristo.blogspot.com/ ) The guideline was "gangster rapper." You know he's gangsta because as you can see, he's been popped thrice and is still struttin'. Not to mention the 2-Pac tatt he's sportin', that's right, WHAT? Oh and for the record, I have no gang affiliation or loyalty, other than w/ and to the Greasers.
